On the Road with Addison Rae

Starting in Europe and continuing in the US, Luca Batemarco has spent the last several months working on Addison Rae’s debut tour. Starting in September in Dublin, Ireland - and ending this November in Australia, this World Tour is a big endeavor for any Playback Engineer. We checked in with Luca to pick his brain on the process and his stratigies for a tour like this.

“In rehearsal, the enthusiastic, collaborative part of my brain kicks in. Being in the studio, ready to get in deep and help the artist and MD explore their creative vision. When it comes time to do the show, the scientist in me takes over and makes sure everything is watertight, along with iteratively improving our systems while the show is on the road.”

Luca exists in a special space in the Engineering world, someone with the techincal know how and the creative vision. Luca’s spends time making his own music when not on tour.
