A Huge Grammy Week for KATSEYE and Addison Rae
It was a big week for both Addison Rae and Katseye, with Sycronicity engineers Luca and Oscar were respectively running rehearsals simultaneously for both artists leading up to both the Spotify Best New Artist party, as well as the Grammy's show itself. To top if off, we had engineer JT Gagarin brought in to work behind the scene at the Spotify show directly, handling recording for all artists, which were the mixed and released, now available on Spotify.
The Best New Artists show was an exciting preview, offering a first look at moments we would see just days later on a much bigger stage. What made it especially fun was that Addison and KATSEYE’s performances ended up literally back to back at the Grammys. If you caught that transition, you know exactly what we mean.
From a work perspective, the intensity came from supporting two very different artists at the same time. Different musical backgrounds, different performance styles, and different approaches to playback meant everything had to stay organized, flexible, and intentional as timelines overlapped and rehearsals ran in parallel.
For our playback engineers, Luca Abatemarco and Oscar Solis, that meant juggling a lot at once. Multiple rehearsals, fast turnarounds, and constant small tweaks as shows took shape. Having three engineers from the Syncronicity network collectively handling recording and playback across moments like this is no small feat, especially when those stages become some of the most watched of the year.
Huge thanks to everyone who was part of these nights – to JT for capturing the Spotify performances, to Luca for the confidence and consistency built with Addison, and to Oscar for holding it down with all 6 members of KATSEYE. Weeks like this are a reminder of how much trust is placed in our engineers, and how meaningful it is when that work shows up on stages like these.
